Gearbox oil
Hi All
I have been advised by my local agricultural dealer that Igol Prolander Agrimu 15w-30 is OK to put in the gearbox of my D25.2.
Does anyone have any comments?

Re: Gearbox oil
Hi Steve,
I totally disagree with your dealer. He is wrong saying that this Igol oil is good for your D25 gearbox. I suppose this one is rather for the engine given the grade of it.
According to the manual and assuming you have the T25 gearbox, you need 15,6 liters (14 + 1.6 for mower drive) of SAE 80 (=80w90).
Hoping that will help you.

Re: Gearbox oil
Hi Dom,
Thanks for your response.
I'm not wishing to doubt what you say but do you think after looking at the specification that it could be used as an alternative?

API GL-4.
Sorry it's in both English and French.....................it was easiest for me.
Look forward to your comments

Re: Gearbox oil
Hi Steve,
There is no problem talking about oil as I am not an expert at all. I have a lot to learn yet as the lubrification products are continually evolving and improving .
My position is very simple. I do what is written in the tractor maker's manual. In fact? I do not use multifunctional oil in my tractors. And last but not the least, the price has a lot to do when making a decision of buying 10 or 20 liters of oil or more.
The specifications of your Igol oil are quite clear. So I think you can use it without problem in your D25 gearbox.

Re: Gearbox oil
Hi Dom
Thanks for your honest reply.
My concern over the oil is that I had already put it in on their recommendation although it hasn't even since travelled one kilometre and I didn't want to either damage the gearbox or waste the 100 euros which it had cost me for the oil if I had to change it!
